Lounge Technician
The Entertainment Lounge Technician (LNGE) is responsible for the safe operation, maintenance, repair, inspection, and troubleshooting of all entertainment auxiliary venues’ sound and lighting system. The Lounge technician will be responsible for the set-up, operation, repair and maintenance of sound and lighting systems in several entertainment spaces aboard the ship for a variety of events and activities, including theme nights, group functions and charters.
Completion of high school or basic education equivalency required. Bachelors or Associates in Technical Theater, Sound, Lights, A/V preferred, or demonstrated equivalent experience. Background in stage, technical theatre and production, including proper microphone placement technique, stage monitor engineering is preferred.
Must have good working knowledge of analog and digital mixing consoles (i.e., those manufactured by Mackie, Yamaha, and DiGiCo). Should also be able to operate analog outboard gear such as graphic and parametric equalizers, gates, compressors, limiters, and effects units.
Must have knowledge and understanding of: network-based lighting and audio distribution and system signal flow.
Regular maintenance and upkeep on conventional and intelligent lighting fixtures.
"Backline equipment” (i.e., guitar, keyboard and bass guitar amplifiers).
Must be able to: Read and understand band/performer requirements to support live performances and events.
Physically set up and strike bands, and know proper microphone and stage monitor placement.
Perform basic and/or component level troubleshooting and ability to provide routine maintenance on various types of audio equipment.
